A special police force created to combat the assassination team Night Raid. All members carry Imperial Arms.

Charged with the task of stopping a team of assassins armed with super-powered artifacts called Imperial Arms, the General Esdeath decided to fight fire with fire by forming her own team of Imperial Arms users. As these artifacts are only compatible with certain people, Esdeath couldn't simply handpick her members and equip them with Arms, instead members already carrying Arms were drafted from various positions and organizations within the empire. These individuals then formed a squad which Esdeath led personally.
Function[]
The Jägers are a special police unit with the mandate to maintain order in the capital. While they were formed to deal with the assassination group Night Raid specifically, they also perform other peace-keeping duties such as apprehending criminals, guarding high-risk targets or carrying out raids. As a unit formed at the behest of the Prime Minister, the Jägers have extra privileges with regard to their authority.
Composition[]
The Jägers are a small unit, numbering only 7 members initially(though some of the team have auxiliary troops). Alike their targets Night Raid however, their use of Imperial Arms gives them the military strength of a far larger force. The members come from diverse backgrounds, including soldiers, an assassins & a scientist. Their captain Esdeath keeps them as something of a close-knit group, and it is a rule that the team eats meals together. Despite this, they are rarely employed on a mission as a single group and tend to be divided into smaller teams for the sake of efficiency.
