Carnage Kabuto is an artificial mutant created by Dr. Genus.
Origin[]
Little is known of Asura Rhino's past. He was artificially created by Dr. Genus of the House of Evolution and was considered their strongest creation ever. He was contained in the facility prior to his release to fight the 2 Heroes who infiltrated the House of Evolution.
Creation[]
Asura Rhino was created by a mangaka who uses the pseudonym "ONE" for his webcomic One-Punch Man in 2009. In 2012, ONE was approached by Yusuke Murata to consider a collaboration between the two, and the One-Punch Man remake was the result. Asura Rhino is an early Antagonist in the series.
For Viz Media, his name is Carnage Kabuto while in other translations, it's Asura Rhino.
Evolution[]
Asura Rhino's time in the series was limited and subsequently his character evolution was next to none.
Appearance[]
Asura Rhino's appearance is that of a huge rhinoceros beetle. He is considerably larger than a normal human both in height and girth.
Personality[]
Asura Rhino is very intelligent who view himself far superior than humans. he have been locked away due to his intense blood lust who kills anything that goes near him.
Relationships[]
Asura Rhino has no known relationships of note. He was however, created by Dr. Genus. The extent of their relationship is unknown but presumably Asura Rhino was considered no more than a living weapon.
Story Arcs[]
House of Evolution Arc[]
The House of Evolution was invaded by Saitama and his new apprentice Genos. They easily wrecked the diabolical place and defeated all the their clone opponents, but Dr. Genus, decided to release his greatest weapon upon them , namely Asura Rhino. He asked the uncontrollable monster to retrieve Saitama's body for the sake of research. Asura Rhino agreed, wishing to satiate his blood lust.
As Saitama and Genos walked through the laboratory, Asura Rhino rushed to them, carrying Dr. Genus with him. After asking which one of them was Saitama, he immediately crushed Genos into a wall, not interested in him. Saitama agreed to fight the brutal creature but before they could clash, Genos blasted Asura Rhino with his lasers, having just recovered from the brutal blow he received. Asura Rhino remained unharmed but Genos rushed him with a barrage of physical blows which also proved futile and Asura Rhino struck Genos's head, causing it to partly break apart. But as a cyborg, Genos wasn't yet finished. He fired more lasers at Asura Rhino who literally blew them away and back at Genos who was nearly finished at this point. Saitama decided that was enough and got between the two. Wishing for this all along, Asura Rhino began to charge at Saitama but immediately stopped and leaped away. He had sensed Saitama's level of power and could clearly see he was in danger. After inquiring as to how Saitama was so powerful, Saitama answered with a rather laughable answer saying it was merely the result of disciplined physical training. Neither Asura Rhino nor the wounded Genos believed Saitama. Asura Rhino took this as an insult and angrily transformed into an even larger and menacing form he called the Asura Mode. In this state he finally attacked Saitama with all his might, pummeling him as much as he could. The while, Saitama was thinking about the upcoming sale he wanted to attend. But as Asura Rhino attacked, Saitama remembered that he had in fact missed his sale because he thought it was a day earlier than it was. Now agitated, Saitama punched at Asura Rhino. The blow was so strong that Asura Rhino's torso and much of his head were seemingly vaporized and Asura Rhino was killed immediately.
Powers & Abilities[]
Asura Rhino was the most powerful creation of the House of Evolution. He specializes almost exclusively in raw physical might.
Immense Strength:[]
Asura Rhino's strength was as such that he could easily cripple the likes of S-Class Hero Genos in 2 blows and even produce breath so forceful that it could overpower Genos' powerful lasers.
Super Speed:[]
Asura Rhino could outpace Genos who is noted as being particularly fast with ease.
Enhanced Durability:[]
Asura Rhino is quite sturdy. The likes of Genos' beams and punches inflicted no harm upon Asura Rhino's body. However it could not come close to withstanding a blow from Saitama.
Power Sense:[]
Asura Rhino was able to sense the level of his opponents such as when he deemed in nearly an instant that Saitama was stronger than himself.
Asura Form:[]
A larger and more gruesome form that Asura Rhino can take. He claimed he could rampage in this form for over a week. How much stronger Asura Rhino became in this form in not clear though as he was defeated shortly after assuming this form.
